Everybody says this at a start of every new month but oh my goodness… how are we in May already?! Not that I am complaining, this is one of my favourite months of the year. It’s my birthday month and I normally go on holiday too so it’s an exciting time. We have also passed the bitter cold and now can look forward to the warm sunshine. Everyone seems so much happier than they were in the winter and I always anticipate the arrival of this time of year. With all that being said, here are my goals for the new month.
Blog Post Scheduling
I want to be more organised when it comes to posting my blog posts and create a schedule that works for me. Some weeks I can post nearly every day and others I just manage to get 3 posts up. I also want to have set days for each category that I blog about. The core of my blog is about beauty but I do like to include other topics aswell.
Be More Active On Instagram
Unfortunately I have neglected my social medias (apart from WordPress & Pinterest) for a while now and I really want to get back into the swing of uploading more content. I particularly want to focus on Instagram because I like the photography and it brings some traffic to my blog.
Read & Finish Two Books
In April I didn’t make much time for reading but hopefully I can change that this month. I have two books I’d like to finish, one I only have a few chapters left and the other I’m about a quarter of the way through. I’m excited to see how the story goes and share with you all my thoughts.
Declutter My Stuff
Last week I recycled about a dozen cardboard boxes that I’d been hoarding because I liked the packaging or thought I may use the box again. I want to continue to declutter some of my belongings that I don’t have a use for and same with my daughter. It’s definitely time for a spring clean.
Start Bullet Journalling
For ages I’ve wanted to start a bullet journal but never seem to get round to it. I’ve saved some ideas for pages on Pinterest so hopefully that will inspire me to create a pretty journal that I can write in.
Loose An Inch Off My Waist
Since starting to be a regular gym goer I’m aiming to tone my whole body up. As weight doesn’t matter, as it’s more down to measurements, I want to loose at least an inch off my waist.
Add To My Savings
I’m at the stage in my life where I feel like I need to be more responsible with money and I want to add more money to my savings. This will aid me in getting a mortgage when the time is right and it’s always wise to have something to fall back on incase of emergencies.
Book & Attend Cervical Screening
Now that I’m hitting 25, I have been invited to book an appointment for a cervical screening, which is offered every 3 years for women aged 25-49 (every 5 years for women aged 50-64). This will check for any abnormal cells and could save my life. I wanted to include this as my last goal to hold me accountable and maybe remind someone else that they need to book their’s too.
