Goals For This Year

As we approach the end of the year, I like to reflect on what I’ve achieved so far and what I have yet to accomplish. Setting myself goals boosts my willpower and pushes me to succeed as I have something to aim towards.

Publish More Blog Posts
When I first started, my blogging schedule was 3 times a week but that just didn’t seem enough and I wanted to produce more content. I get such a buzz hitting the publish button that I’m just going to blog as often as I can, without compromising on the quality.

Add Another £300 Into My Savings
Never being one to save, I’ve been so good with saving money this year. I have been watching podcasts of The Dave Ramsey Show and it really inspired me to change my life and stop living pay check to pay check.

Have 100 Followers On My Blog
This may be a big ask and partly out of my control but I would really like to reach 100 followers by the end of the year. Hopefully by producing content more frequently I can attract a larger readership.

Pay Off All Debt
This time last year I was at a very low point, I had quite a lot of debt and my income was very minimal. Thankfully, I knuckled under and paid everything I could to eliminate that debt. I never want to be at that point again that’s why I started saving. At time of writing, I have £100 of my own debt left to pay.

Have 480 Followers On Instagram
I only signed up to Instagram in August so I’m still learning how to do everything but I would like to gain a few more followers and possibly connect with other beauty bloggers. Not really sure how you ‘gain’ Instagram followers but I’m going to post more and see what happens. If you would like to follow me my username is catherineparrxoxo. I’ll you follow back.

No New Clothes
That sounds very dramatic, doesn’t it? For the rest of this year I would like to challenge myself to not buy any more clothes unless it’s replacing an existing item. As I’m getting older I’m appreciating quality over quantity. I hardly ever look in sale racks anymore because I know it’s old stuff they’re just trying to get rid of. I’d much rather have a smaller wardrobe with clothes I love and get lots of wear out of than rails of items I’ve only worn once. Whatever doesn’t get worn during that time is going.

Write A Book
From a very young age I’ve always loved writing and the passion hasn’t gone away. I always start something then a few pages in think ‘that’s stupid’ and scrap the idea. For once I would like to break that mental barrier and continue the story.

Those are my goals for this year, what are yours? Let me know in the comments. I’ll keep you posted on how well it’s going. Thanks for reading XOXO.

This is a lovely post! I’ve recently got into the mentality of not buying clothes unless I’m replacing something and it’s working out really nicely!
