Halloween Gore Make Up Look

A Halloween make up look using liquid latex and fake blood.

I’ve been a bit off my game recently. I haven’t been blogging much this week as I’ve not been well but I’m feeling better today, so fingers crossed, I can get back on track.

I had a lot of fun creating this look. I used:

  • Liquid latex applied with a brush
  • Dark red face paint applied with a brush
  • A lighter red face paint applied with a brush
  • A yellow concealer to add more depth to the cut
  • A black pencil to darken the cut
  • Fake blood applied with my finger

To create a gory cut, first put on the liquid latex. It doesn’t have to be smooth. Wait for it to dry and keep applying layers until you have the desired depth. I applied it around the edge of the ‘hole’ as if it was my flaking skin.
Once the latex is dried, you want to start the appearance of the cut inside the hole by using your red face paints. This is the fun part where you can create a bloody mess. To make the cut more realistic you can shade some areas darker and add spots of yellow to mimic the look of skin.
Finally, put some fake blood over the cut and you’re finished.

I’m looking forward to doing more of these looks and improving my make up skills. I hope you enjoyed this make up look. Thanks for reading XOXO.
