January Favourites

January is finally over and we’re getting closer and closer to sunny skies and warmer days. Bring it on! I didn’t think I would have many favourites from January until I went through my stash and saw a bunch of great products that I fell in love with. It was a complete accident that they all colour coordinated but ever so satisfying.

The first product that immediately came to mind for this post was this Anew Rejuvenate cleanser from Avon. This was one of the products I featured in my Project Pan post as I wanted to use it up. I didn’t expect to like this but I was so surprised how good it was. It’s a lovely gel consistency with little blue balls to scrub your face. I have used it almost everyday and felt it left my skin feeling so clean.

This Simple Micellar Water has been featured in this blog a numerous times throughout December and January so there was no way I could leave it out of my monthly favourites. It get rids of any trace of make up left and feels gentle on my skin.

I really enjoy using this eye and lip cream from The Organic Pharmacy. It’s a fairly thick cream which is great for using in your nighttime skincare routine. I dab a little bit under my eyes and wake up with more supple, plump skin.

When I received this in my Lancome Advent Calendar I was very pleased. The Bi-Facil removes my eye make up so easily without irritating them. I haven’t got much left which I’m gutted about.

As you can tell, I tried and loved a lot of skincare in January and my final skincare favourite is this Lancome Visionnaire Nuit Beauty Sleep Perfector. I know I’m going to have a good skin day if I use this the night before. It leaves my face looking bright and nourished whilst feeling baby bottom soft.

The bitterly cold weather that never seems to end has left me looking ghostly white so this St Tropez Bronzing Mist has been a saviour this winter. I’m not one for wearing fake tan regularly but when I feel like my skin needs some colour I always reach for this. With a quick spray I can give my skin a new lease of life. It doesn’t come out patchy or orange, just a lovely bronzed glow. The mist is so easy to use.

Another product featured from my Project Pan is this Nivea Lip Butter. It hydrates and nourishes my dry chapped lips and has been a god send with the freezing winds. I wanted to use it up though so I can test my new lip balms that I got for Christmas.

I’m a complete beginner when it comes to doing my eyebrow make up but this Benefit Goof Proof pencil makes it so easy. Just as the name Goof Proof suggests, it’s hard to go wrong and the shade 2 Light is perfect for me. I really like how my eyebrows look when I’ve applied this.

My final mention this month is the Marc Jacobs Highliners. I received these for free, courtesy of Influenster and wrote a review on them. They are just so creamy and a dream to use. I got the shades Deja Blue and Earthquake and they are the sort of product you don’t know you need, until you’ve got them. The colours have allowed me to experiment more with my make up looks, instead of sticking to my usual black liner.

That’s it for my January Favourites, I hope you enjoyed reading what products I am currently loving and feel inspired to try something new. Thanks for reading XOXO.
