I’m writing this from my desk sheltering from the blazing sun. We’ve had a continious heatwave for about 2 weeks now which is so rare. It’s usually the case of 3 days of sunshine followed by days of rain. In the UK we are not climatised by this weather and you’re lucky to find anywhere with air conditioning so we’re all suffering a bit. I just wish I had a nice cold pool to jump in but enough of these first world problems, I want to share with you my beauty favourites from June.
First up is the Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream that I picked up from Superdrug for half price. I can’t believe this only cost me £2.00. It’s a thick rich cream that is to be applied before bed which enhances skin’s natural night-time regeneration. When I first put this on I woke up the morning after and my skin was glowing. I could only assume it was down to this as I had not changed anything else in my routine. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft.
I did a full post reviewing these Primark Cleansing Mitts (read here) and long story short, I loved them. They allowed me to remove my makeup gently and swiftly. Compared to other cleansing mitts these are an absolute steal and I’ve picked up multiple packs with the intention of purchasing more.
Onto some makeup pieces, a purchase that I forgot to include in a recent haul post was this NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Nude. What I love about this lip liner is that it’s very close to my natural lip colour so it allows me to just enhance them without looking to done up. It’s not drying like some other lip liners I’ve used and lasts a fair while too.
My previous post was a review of the Smokey Obsessions Palette by Huda Beauty and if you read that, it’ll come as no surprise this product has made my favourites list. If you want an in depth review and to see the swatches click here. It’s a stunning palette and the eyeshadows are very pigmented. I definitely will be trying more products from this brand.
Last favourite for this month is another product from Primark. I’m in love with their beauty section at the moment, they’re bringing out some fantastic stuff for pittance. Now I’ve mentioned before a few times on my blog that I’m hopeless with applying false lashes but these ones were so simple to put on. They didn’t weigh down my eyelids and were comfortable to wear. I felt like they just lengthened and volumised my existing eyelashes without looking too much. I’ll be picking some more of these up when the occasion calls for it.
Those were my recent favourite beauty products. With the heat I’m not wearing too much makeup at the moment so still have lots of stuff sitting in my drawers ready to be used. I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for reading XOXO.
