My Night Time Skincare Routine

There’s no better than feeling than coming home after a long day and taking off your make up. I really enjoy this part of the day where I can reflect on the day’s accomplishments and start to wind down. However, I never feel fully relaxed unless I’m barefaced and in my comfy pyjamas. I’m going to fill you in on my current night time skincare routine.IMG_0688

To start off, I use a baby wipe to get rid of the majority of my make up. It’s a lot easier than using cotton pads and cheaper too. I prefer baby wipes to make up wipes as they are kinder to your skin. I’ve used a lot of different wipes and the only brand I wouldn’t recommend is Huggies as I find their wipes are too thin and not very soft.


After I have removed the bulk of my make up I squeeze some Garnier Micellar Water onto a cotton pad and begin to lightly scrub my face. My favourite cotton pads are Primark’s own brand, they are so cheap and great quality.IMG_0691

I use both sides of the pad to take off my make up and repeat with another pad until all my make up has gone. I often only need to use 2 pads, sometimes 3 if I’m wearing a bit more make up that day.

The next step is cleansing my face and neck. I like to use the Formula 10-0-6 cleanser as it’s very gentle and leaves my skin feeling so soft.


Now I have removed all make up and cleansed my skin, I apply Olay night cream. I spoke about this cream and the cleanser in my July Monthly Favourites post.


I rub the cream all over my face and neck. My skin instantly feels soft and hydrated.


Now I’m getting older (eeek) I have started using eye creams. My current one is the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Eye Cream . It’s designed to plump up the thin skin around the eyes and smooth out wrinkles from the inside. I have noticed a difference in my skin’s texture since using this. Just apply a tiny amount on your ring finger and very lightly dab under your eyes, particularly the outer corners, as this is where you’ll notice the first signs on aging. As I’m still only 24, I just use this eye cream once or twice a week to give my skin a boost.


Once I have moisturised, my skincare is complete for the day. I put on my pyjamas and I’m ready for bed.
