As we are right in the middle of summer, there’s a lot of weddings this time of year and as I’ve seen so many beautiful dresses online, I wanted to put together a post with some of my favourites. These are perfect to wear if you’ve got a wedding to attend to. I’ve not included any plain white dresses as I know a lot of brides aren’t cool with you rocking up in the same colour as them. Expect a lot of pastels, nudes and bright colours which look amazing this time of year.
You would definitely feel like a princess in this dress. I’d pair this with nude and silver accessories to bring out the sequins. To avoid looking too girly you could put a black leather jacket or a blazer on over it.
This was one of the dresses that really inspired this post. It’s absolutely stunning and perfect for a wedding this time of year. I’m so tempted to buy it myself but don’t have any occasions to wear it. You could pair this with a blazer for evenings and it’d look really smart.
Another princess-like dress is this tulle midi dress. The length of this dress is perfect, any different and it just wouldn’t look right (for a wedding anyway). You could wear this with gold or silver jewellery and it would look fabulous, I’d opt for rose gold.
I thought this suede style dress was different from the other lace and flowy dress but still very appropriate and sophisticated. I could imagine this dressed paired with white satin shoes.
For someone who usually wears short dresses, I’ve really been loving a lot of midi styles recently. The crotchet detailing on this is beautiful and the model wears it so well. It’s the most expensive piece in this post but Very often have discount codes for full priced items.
Navy Lace Dress-

If you prefer darker colours, I think navy is a great colour to rock at a wedding without being head to toe in black. You could pretty much pair any coloured accessories with this as it would go with most shades. This particular dress is almost a third of the original asking price too.
I like how girly and feminine this dress looks without being too over the top. It’s a perfect understated dress that you could wear any season. The grey tones means you could get away with wearing black tights underneath which is ideal in colder months.
When I saw InTheFrow wear something similar to this in one of her haul videos, I’ve obsessed over tulle dresses and skirts since. I think this style dress is flattering for any body shape and the ice grey colour means it’s light but white (you don’t want any bridezillas on your back).
This sequinned mini is a real party piece and teamed with silver shoes and accessories, this outfit would be killer. You couldn’t not have fun in such a sparkly dress!
I’d feel like a proper lady in this midi lace dress. It’s very elegant and classy. The dusty pink is very in at the moment too. I think this would look lovely teamed with nude heels.
This mink colour is divine and would take you from summer to autumn. I love the detailing on this dress and think it looks very sophisticated.
I am really fond of the grey/ purple shade of this dress but unfortunately it wouldn’t match my skintone. For those with complexions that it would suit, this dress would be a sexy but classy piece that could be worn for many different occasions.
The embroidery and the sheer neckline gives this dress a real luxurious look. I’d team it with silver accessories to bring out the detailing.
For a wedding, I try to avoid maxi dresses as they can make you look like a bridesmaid but this floral maxi would be great for a spring/ summer wedding. You could also team this with a denim jacket for a more casual look.
Another dress I’m absolutely smitten with is this nude skater dress from Boohoo that has pretty golden embellishment. I like the sheer chest and sleeves. This could even be suitable for a fancy night out and you could give the outfit an edge with a black leather jacket.
This dress is sexy without having too much on show. The fishtail like hem really makes this ideal for a wedding. Nude pink shades are everywhere at the moment and suit everyone.
This dress is just perfect for a wedding. It looks elegant without being too in your face. I’d pair this with nude heels and some simple jewellery.
Can’t you tell I liked neutral colours? I like the detailing in this dress and you could pair it with a sparkly clutch for an extra touch of glam.
I love the simplicity of this dress, it looks so effortlessly stylish. It’d be a dress you could wear any season for so many different occasions. At £20.00 it’s so affordable, Missguided often have discount codes on their site so you could probably pick this up for even less.
I’ve only included dresses from the stores “main” range, if you need petite, tall, maternity or plus size, I’d recommend checking out ASOS, Boohoo and New Look as they all have extensive ranges and styles.
Those were my favourite dresses that you could wear to a wedding. As much as I love the colour black, I decided not to add any black dresses in this post as it’s summer and a wedding should be the perfect chance for you to wear some colour. I hope you liked my suggestions and if you have a special occasion coming up, you found this inspiring. Thanks for reading XOXO.
