I love a luxury product, the tingling feeling you get just as you open the packaging and stare at awe down at the beautiful design. However a luxury product comes with a big luxury price tag. The good news is you don’t always need to spend a lot to get a great product and as I’ve heard good things about Primark makeup, I wanted to see for myself. Among all the other pieces of makeup, the Mink Pink Highlighter stood out to me and here’s my thoughts.
Let’s start off with the packaging, it’s fairly basic in design but still aestetically pleasing with the dusky pink and the rose gold. The highlighter comes in a fairly thick cardboard that you flip open to reveal a rippled pink sparkly highlight.
As you can imagine, I was eager to swatch this as soon as I saw it, which I did. The highlighter is very pigmented and intense. It gives off a white beam on the cheeks in comparison to the pink in the pan. I definitely wasn’t prepared for how vivid the payoff was going to be.
This is how the highlighter wore on my cheeks at the weekend. I only applied it delicately with a brush and this is how it turned out. With the sun shining it beamed brightly off my face and let me tell you, I was turning heads that day (although that may not be a good thing).
The highlighter was long lasting and only cost an impressive £2.50! If you’re in the market for a new one, I’d recommend giving this a try. Although if you prefer a more subtle glow, perhaps this wouldn’t be for you.
That was it for my Primark PS… Mink Pink Highlighter review, I hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful. Thanks for reading XOXO.
