Product Empties | May 2018

It’s that time again for another product empties post. These seem to come around so quickly but I’m so relieved once they’re done because it means the pile of empty tubs can finally go in the bin. So here’s my recent empties and what I thought of them.

For skincare I finished a Lancome Visionnaire Eye Cream in a mini size which I got from a beauty advent calendar. It wasn’t my favourite eye cream and I much preferred the Lancome Renergie Yeux Firming Eye Cream, so I wouldn’t purchase again. Next is a recurring favourite of mine, the Olay Firm & Lift Day Cream . My skin feels instantly plump and lifted after I’ve applied this. I’ve repurchased this multiple times as it’s really affordable. Last is a Charcoal Face Scrub from Beauty Formulas that I pick up from B & M for a £1.00. I didn’t have any high expectations for this but it was really good at cleaning my face and I actually enjoyed using it. I’ll buy it again once I’ve finished my other facial scrubs.

I also used a Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask which I did a review post on that you can read here.

I used up some makeup products aswell this month. Two of them being nail polishes that had dried up so needed to get rid of them. A pink Rimmel Nail Varnish and a Barry M glitter polish. They are a cheap option for your nails that work well. As well as a nail polish, I also finished off a Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in the shade Addiction. I love this lip liner and took it everywhere with me but I go through them so quickly so may switch to just using pencils. This took me months to get through but I finally used up the Lottie London Got It Covered Concealer. It provides good coverage but I felt it oxidised on my skin and wasn’t light enough to brighten my under eyes. Lastly I finished a mini Pink Perfect Creme Primer from Erborian. This is one of my absolute favourites, it blurs the appearance of pores and primes the skin ready for your makeup, as well as giving the face a hydrating glow.

In terms of hair care I used up a Charles Worthington Leave In Conditioner  which I would apply to the ends of my hair before blow drying. It sealed in the moisture and made my hair feel so soft and silky. I have back ups of this. Additionally I finished a bottle of Aussie Miracle Nourish Conditioner. Being a fan of Aussie products this didn’t impress me as much as some of their others so I would prefer to purchase a different conditioner over this particular one.

In my bath and shower empties I managed to use a Sanctuary Spa Bath Soak and a Wilko’s Shower Gel that I got in a set for Christmas. The bath soak was a lovely touch to my baths and gave my skin a kiss of nourishing moisture. I miss this product already and want to get some more. I wasn’t a massive fan of the shower gel though but it did make me feel clean and fresh.

That’s all my product empties for this post. I’m sure they’ll be more soon to come next month. I still haven’t even started on half of the products I got for Christmas so I’m being very patient but I want to use up my older stuff first. I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading XOXO.
