Project Pan Update

I started my Project Pan back in November where I set myself the challenge of finishing or hitting pan on some chosen beauty products. As my collection is constantly growing numerous make up and skincare pieces often get neglected so this is the perfect solution to get the most out of everything. Here is how I got on nearly 2 months on.

Here’s my NYX Butt Naked- Turn The Other Cheek palette, the top photo is from November and as you can see I had only hit pan on one shade. Two months on and the pan from the dark brown shade has gotten bigger. It’s hard to tell from the photo but the cream white shade underneath has also hit pan. The two lighter brown shades on the top row are almost showing pan, as well as the brown shade on the second row. I knew I wouldn’t be hitting much pan on this palette as I had included two eyeshadow palettes in the Project Pan but I’m pretty pleased with results.

The comparison between these two photos of my Make Up Revolution Highlighter is difficult to see as the powder pattern doesn’t show up very well on photos. I’ve made a conscious effort to use this highlighter almost every single time I wore make up. Apart from the mess it doesn’t really look like it’s been touched.

This Freedom HD Pro Concealer Palette is probably my most successful make up product in the Project Pan. As you can see I went from 5 pans showing to 8 bigger pans showing. I only used this on and off as sometimes I didn’t feel like putting on a colour corrector so I’m happy with the results.

The tone for this Collection Bronzer is a bit too warm for me, especially in winter but I tried to use this as much as I could with a light hand. The dip in the bronzer has gotten slightly bigger but quite far from reaching pan yet. I’m slightly disappointed but I’ll make a effort to use this more in the summer.

Through the Project Pan I’ve rediscovered a love for this L’Oreal Color Riche Nude palette. I had left this in my draw thinking it was flaky and not very pigmented but when I began to reuse this for the challenge, I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed using it. The second shade from the right has a dip in it but nothing is showing pan yet.

If you read my Setting Sprays On Trial post, you would know I dislike this NYX setting spray. I begrudged using this but I wanted to for this project and to get my money’s worth. Although you can’t see, I am now almost finished this bottle, which is so pleasing.

This Telescopic Mascara from L’Oreal is one of my favourites and for that reason I gladly took on the task of trying to finish this up. I can confirm there is only a few uses of this mascara left before it’s ready for the bin. I would say that is a successful Project Pan.

Onto the skincare part of my Project Pan, I am happy to report I used up everything, except for the AD Skin Synergy Night Treatment Oil. The oil doesn’t compliment my skin so I only used it here and there but I have almost completed the bottle. Other than that, the Project Plan- Skincare was a triumph.

This was a great motivator for using up products I have and stop me purchasing things I already own. I’m definitely going to do another Project Pan soon so look out for that. I hope you enjoyed seeing the comparisons. Thanks for reading XOXO.</p

Finished palettes give me so much satisfaction 😀 I’m currently working on a few products, and it’s amazing seeing them going to an end.
